Boxing Academy

13/03/2026

We were honoured and happy to be asked to support a local Boxing Academy, an initiative that uses Muay Thai as a powerful tool to protect, guide, and empower children and youth.
This academy was established to keep children and young people away from drugs and negative influences many of whom face family and financial challenges.

We were truly delighted to support Nang Ging with the gift of a brand-new walker. For some time, the previous one had been held together with tape simply to remain usable—a powerful testament to Nang Ging's resilience and unwavering determination to maintain independence.

Our work includes reaching out to disadvantaged and vulnerable families and communities in the region. Many of them live with a high level of uncertainty as to 'what tomorrow may bring for themselves and their families. Their limited access to services, and the daily challenges that come with displacement, take a toll on their mental health too....

Putting real thought into food isn't just about cooking — it's about care.

Imagine a world where every child has access to clean drinking water! We're one small step closer to helping to make that a reality.

Friendship

We LOVE Grandma Nuan! Her warm spirit and infectious joy have captured the hearts of HANDS staff and visitors alike. She loves to chat and joke with us. She's often joined by a furry friend who stops by daily to bask in her company

Ahtit is a member of the local community who, several years ago, suffered a life-changing accident that left him with brain damage. In the aftermath, relatives entrusted with his care persuaded him to sign over the small plot of land he had inherited from his parents. They later sold it—along with his home—leaving him homeless.

We have recently been honoured with recognition as a model of good practice, particularly for the care and support we provide to our staff. The Social Welfare Department has presented us with a trophy, allowing our team to proudly celebrate and display this hard-earned achievement.
