Every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and dream about a better future.
Yet for many of the children we work with, education is out of reach.
Children, born to parents who are landless, living in extreme poverty and without the rights of citizenship, have very little hope of finding a way out of the extreme difficulties that they face. Many face language, geographical, and financial barriers to accessing education.
" I really want to go to school but it's too far and there's no one else to look after the little ones all day. Next year, when I'm eleven, my dad says I can start work too and my little sister can take over my job and look after our baby brother."
Our goal is to help children pursue pathways that will lead them out of these circumstances and enable them to take up opportunities in education, employment and life.
We support them and their families through practical solutions—providing safe accommodation, transport for those living in remote areas, and partnering with local teachers to enhance learning.
Visiting teams have played a key role in developing this relationship and in delivering training and encouragement.

In 2001, the first team visited a school in Fang, beginning a partnership that has continued almost every year since. Early teams focused on sports and art, and today the school is recognised nationally for excellence in both disciplines, having won national competitions. Visiting teams—many including teachers and teaching assistants—have also helped strengthen educational standards, and the school has since become a respected centre of learning within the Fang district.
Over the past decade, volunteers from England have returned annually to teach English, often staying for four to six weeks at a time.
