Sometimes, helping a child access medical care involves much more than just getting them to a hospital. We are currently supporting a young boy who has a tumour growing on his ear and needs surgery. 

His operation is scheduled for 29 September 2026, and we are working closely with his school and the local hospital to complete the necessary paperwork so that he and his parents can travel to a larger hospital where the surgery can be performed. 

Whilst the surgery itself is a huge step forward, there are many additional costs that the family simply cannot manage alone. During their stay, they will need accommodation, medication, food, and other essential support while they are away from home.

At HANDS, we believe that no child should miss out on vital medical treatment because of financial hardship or logistical barriers. We are grateful to be able to walk alongside this family, helping them navigate the process and ensuring that this young boy has the opportunity to receive the care he needs.
